Zoho Backstage's April 2026 release brings improvements to the floor planner, including an early-access DXF import option and a move to feet-based measurements.
- DXF Import (early access) lets you bring AutoCAD (DXF) layouts straight into the floor planner, either as a new floor or merged into an existing one, removing the need to recreate layouts manually.
- The DXF import flow guides you through confirming drawing units, adjusting visual preferences such as background, text, and line colours, and selecting which layers to include.
- Configure booth layer mapping and booth number formats during import so the system can identify booth labels in the layout, with a summary of detected elements shown before import completes.
- Booth assignment workflows stay flexible: booth mapping can be done independently during import, while exhibitor categories remain mandatory for booth creation.
- DXF Import is available under Exhibitors, Floor Plan, DXF Import, and currently supports in-person and hybrid events.
- Floor plan items now use feet-based measurements instead of pixel values, giving consistent scaling across layouts and more accurate relative sizes for both compact and large-scale floor plans.
Availability: DXF Import and pixel-to-feet conversion are included in the Premium and Ultimate plans.
