Zoho Billing - AI-Powered Workflows with Zoho MCP Integration

Zoho Billing has introduced support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling you to connect your billing account to LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT and perform billing actions using natural language prompts.

• MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that allows LLMs to communicate directly with Zoho Billing. Once connected, you can type instructions in plain language and the LLM carries out the action in your Billing account.
• Supported actions include creating invoices, pulling reports, managing subscriptions, recording payments, listing overdue accounts, and more, all executed via your LLM interface.
• The request lifecycle is straightforward: you type a prompt, the LLM identifies the correct tool, sends the request to the Zoho Billing MCP server, the server calls the Billing API, and the result is returned to you.
• You control exactly which APIs your LLM can access by selecting specific Tools during setup. If you only enable read actions, the LLM cannot create, modify, or delete records.
• Every action performed through MCP is recorded in a Logs page, providing a full audit trail showing which tool was used, who triggered it, whether it succeeded, and when it happened.
• Multi-organisation support lets you manage multiple Zoho Billing organisations from a single MCP server, and you can define which tools each organisation exposes.
• MCP works with any MCP-compatible LLM client, including Claude and ChatGPT. A step-by-step setup guide covering server URL generation and LLM connection is planned as a follow-up.
