Zoho Billing - April 2026 Updates
Zoho Billing's April 2026 release adds AI connectivity through the Model Context Protocol, a refreshed Payment Links layout, new subscription quoting options, and accessibility improvements. It also brings barcode scanning for custom modules and the option to include organisation details in report exports.

Zoho Billing's April 2026 release introduces a range of updates spanning AI connectivity, payment pages, subscription quoting, accessibility, and reporting.
- Connect Zoho Billing to AI models through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), letting you create invoices, track payments, manage customers, and pull reports using plain-language prompts in tools like Claude or ChatGPT.
- Payment Links now use the same modern layout as Hosted Payment Pages, with smoother transitions, multi-language support, and the full set of Hosted Payment Page customisation options. New organisations have this enabled by default; existing organisations can request the switch via support.
- Create end-of-term quotes directly from an active subscription so customers can review the exact charges at the end of their current billing cycle, including any mid-cycle changes, before renewal.
- Create subscription quotes for item-based subscriptions, bundling price lists, billing frequency, and billing cycles into one document. When the customer accepts the quote, the subscription activates automatically.
- Configure accessibility preferences such as increased text spacing, underlined links, and strikethrough formatting on disabled buttons. Access this from your profile menu under Accessibility Preferences.
- Include your organisation's details directly in report exports. Go to Reports, click More, choose Configure Report Layout, tick Organization Details, and click the Settings icon.
- Scan barcodes to populate line items in custom tables on custom modules. Add a lookup column to your custom table, then use the Scan Item option when creating a record. This is limited to plans that support custom modules.
Availability: Subscription quotes for items and barcode scanning are limited to plans that support those features (subscription quoting and custom modules respectively).
