Zoho CRM now provides built-in support for Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling AI tools to connect and perform CRM actions using natural language.
- MCP servers act as a bridge between AI agents and Zoho CRM, exposing CRM capabilities as callable tools that interpret user prompts and map them to the correct CRM actions.
- Five pre-built MCP servers are available, each focused on a specific area: Data Insights (read-only querying and analysis), Data Operations (record creation, updates, bulk operations, lead conversion, duplicate detection), Module Customization (custom modules, fields, layouts, global picklists), and Workflow and Process Automation (triggers, field updates, email alerts, webhooks).
- You can install one or more servers based on your requirements, and they work with any MCP-compatible AI tool including Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code, and Windsurf.
- All actions executed through MCP are bound by the authenticated user's CRM roles and permissions, ensuring secure, permission-aware execution.
- Authentication is handled via OAuth-based login for secure access and session management.
- No API handling is required on your end; MCP servers translate conversational prompts directly into CRM operations.
Availability: Phased rollout across data centres, with additional tools and servers planned for future updates.
