Zoho CRM - Layout Rules Enhancements

Zoho CRM is rolling out enhancements to Layout Rules in phases, adding new actions, profile-based execution, and an interactive preview for more dynamic, role-specific forms.

• New field actions: Show Picklist Values, Set Read Only Fields, Set Field Value, Recommend Field Value, and Show Message.
• New additional actions: Show Related Lists, Show Buttons, Show Links, and Verify Fields.
• Profile-based execution applies an action only to users of chosen profiles when a condition is met, for example making a field read only for most users while still allowing specific profiles to edit it.
• Interactive Preview lets you see how a rule behaves for different profiles and conditions from the configuration page, before it affects live data or active users.
• Layout Rules continue to show or hide fields, sections, and subforms and set fields as mandatory based on conditions.
• Planned next: multi-select picklist field support in Layout Rule and validation rule criteria, and Layout Rules support for the Professional edition.

Availability: Enterprise and Ultimate editions. Currently available in the JP and SA data centres, with a phased rollout to others.
