Zoho CRM - Redesigned Functions Interface with Python Support
Zoho CRM has rebuilt the Functions interface, giving each function its own workspace with analytics, logs, failures and association details. Python 3.12 also joins Java, Node.js and Deluge as a supported runtime.

Zoho CRM is rolling out a redesigned Functions experience in phases over two weeks, covering the interface, monitoring, custom views and runtime support.
- Each function now has its own workspace with Overview, Analytics, Revision History, Logs, Failures and Associations sections.
- The Overview section shows function details, REST API accessibility and a unified view of where the function is used across your organisation.
- You can see every entity a function is associated with and filter those associations by module or category.
- References show which other components or functions call the function, and Dependencies show the functions and connections it needs in order to run.
- The Functions tab can be sorted by name, API name, created time or modified time, and filtered by language, category or runtime.
- Built-in views include All Functions, My Functions, Associated, Unassociated, Standalone and Extension Functions.
- You can save your own custom views, filtering by any combination of function name, API name, category, tags, language, runtime, REST API status, association status and created by.
- Tags let you categorise functions, and you can add or remove tags on several functions at once.
- Saved views can be edited, cloned or deleted from the Manage Views panel.
- Analytics charts cover total invocations, success and failure rates, credit consumption, execution time and execution by language, source and module across a 30-day window.
- Python 3.12 is now supported alongside Node.js 22 and Java 17, and you can write code in the redesigned IDE or upload a ZIP file from an external editor.
- Support for Node.js 24, Python 3.13 and Java 25 is due within two months.
- Functions written in Java, Node.js and Python include the Zoho Request Client, which handles authentication automatically for Zoho CRM API calls and can also call other Zoho services and third-party APIs.
- Sorting and custom views rely on Created Time, Modified Time and Created By, which are only populated for recently created functions.
- Zoho has confirmed further work on user mode API invocation, user-based connections, an advanced logs interface and AI-assisted development.
