Zoho Projects - Daily Rate Projects Coming 25 May 2026

Zoho Billing is rolling out a new Daily Rate billing type for projects on 25 May 2026, alongside the existing Fixed Cost and Hourly Rate options.

• You can create projects billed on a daily rate to manage and invoice day-based work.
• When creating a Daily Rate project, you set the number of hours that make up a full day.
• Time entries on these projects are logged as either Full Day or Half Day.
• Only one time entry per user per day is allowed on a Daily Rate project.
• Invoice quantities reflect the work in days rather than hours.
• Once a project is set to Daily Rate, the billing method cannot be switched to Hourly Rate or Fixed Cost.
• Daily Rate timesheets cannot be combined with Hourly Rate timesheets on the same invoice.
• A full breakdown will be added to the Zoho Billing help documentation once the feature is live.

Availability: Rolling out on 25 May 2026 to all Zoho Billing accounts.
