Zoho Sheet has released beta versions of its native desktop app for macOS and Windows, offering both online and offline spreadsheet editing.

  • You can launch the app and work on local files (.csv, .tsv, .txt, .xlsx) immediately without signing in. Sign-in is only required when moving files to the cloud or accessing cloud documents.
  • The app supports offline editing, letting you draft and save files locally without an internet connection.
  • Local and cloud files appear in a single consolidated listing, removing the need to switch between separate views.
  • Moving sheets to the cloud enables real-time collaboration, commenting, and access permission controls. Zoho WorkDrive is currently supported, with more cloud storage integrations planned.
  • Key web features are available in the desktop apps, including 400+ built-in functions, pre-designed templates, data cleaning, conditional formatting, charts, and Zia.
  • The app offers faster loading times, smooth scrolling, and familiar keyboard shortcuts compared to the browser experience.
  • Remaining web functionality will be added in subsequent updates. A webinar on 22 April 2026 will walk through the desktop app features.
