Zoho Books - April 2026 Updates

Zoho Books has published its April 2026 product updates, covering profit margins, reporting enhancements, banking improvements, assembly workflows, and a wide range of Zoho Inventory add-on changes.

• Profit Margin estimation is now available in Quotes, Sales Orders, and Invoices, calculated from selling price, discount, and item cost. It is also supported in receivable reports, imports, and exports.
• You can now record deposits from the Undeposited Funds account by selecting individual payments and depositing directly to a bank account, with matching available against bank statements.
• Insights in Reports, powered by Zia, provides descriptive analysis of business data with data-driven summaries in chart-enabled reports. Available on Premium plans and above, in English, Spanish, or French.
• Quick Assembly for composite items lets you instantly assemble an out-of-stock component from within the parent assembly page. [Inventory Add-On]
• A new Receive History By Item Report provides a comprehensive overview of purchase receives within a selected date range, with customizable columns, advanced filters, and scheduling. [Inventory Add-On]
• Dimensions and weight can now be added directly when creating packages, with support in Standard and Business Letter templates. [Inventory Add-On]
• The Inventory Valuation Summary Report now displays the valuation method for each item, with filtering and sorting support. [Inventory Add-On]

• You can attach up to 10 documents to move orders and putaways. [Inventory Add-On]
• Barcodes can now be generated for items directly within invoices. [Inventory Add-On]
• Shipment sync for sales channel integrations now creates a separate package and shipment per fulfillment for accurate partial and complete tracking. [Inventory Add-On]
• Text Block has been introduced in financial reports for contextual notes with visual formatting.
• Date range filters are now supported in custom reports.
• MPN (Manufacturer Part Number) is available as a column in the Items list view.
• Customer and Vendor credits can now be applied across multiple Locations.
• Total quantity of raw materials can be edited directly in the Assemblies module.
• WhatsApp notifications are now supported in Custom Modules.
• Activity logs are now available in the Projects module through a dedicated tab.
• Zero can now be set as the cost price in Quantity Adjustments.
• Cost price for negative inventory adjustments is now visible on the adjustment details page.
