Zoho Books - July 2026 Updates

Zoho Books' July 2026 release introduces self-billing documents, a new non-profit report, Zoho Inventory add-on enhancements, and a range of usability improvements.

• Self-Billed Credit Notes and Self-Billed Debit Notes (Global edition) support buyer-generated billing: a Self-Billed Credit Note reduces or cancels the payable on a Self-Billed Invoice, and a Self-Billed Debit Note increases it; enable both under Settings > Setup & Configuration > General.
• The Receipts and Payments Report gives non-profit organisations a cash-based summary of money received and paid over a period, showing opening balance, receipts, payments, and closing balance.
• Zoho Inventory add-on, Package Types: create predefined package types with dimensions and weight, plus new Net Weight and Gross Weight fields.
• Create single and variant items: choose between a single item and an item with variants, and manage variant details such as UPC, EAN, MPN, and custom fields from one screen.
• Bulk actions: submit or approve up to 25 inventory adjustments and bulk delete up to 25 assemblies at a time.
• Units of measurement (UOM) support for serial-tracked items.
• Auto-accept submitted web form responses through the Configure Preferences option when creating a web form.
• View Associated Components for custom fields shows everywhere a custom field is currently in use.
• Attachment and image custom fields are retained during record conversions and when cloning transactions.
• Year to Date, Quarter to Date, and Month to Date options are now available in the Date Range filter for reports under Business Overview and Accountant.
• Validation Rules are now supported for Credit Notes and Vendor Credits.
• Configure permissions to control who can edit or delete approved records in custom modules.
• Import and export opening stock for inventory-tracking items, add the Available for Sale column to the Items list view, and add inventory panels such as Sales Order Summary and Top Selling Items to custom dashboards when the Zoho Inventory Add-On is enabled.
