A form on your website gets visits. Some people start it; fewer finish. Until recently Zoho Forms could tell you how many submitted, but not how many saw the form, started it, or where they gave up. Form analytics now does all of that — and it's the clearest reason to use Zoho Forms rather than the web forms built into Zoho CRM.
Zoho Forms is included in Zoho One, or available standalone.
What form analytics shows
- Views, starts and submissions, and the resulting conversion rate. If 100 people see a form and 10 submit it, you're converting at 10%.
- Field-level drop-off — exactly which field people abandon the form on. That tells you which question to simplify, make optional, or move.
- Desktop vs mobile, geographic breakdown, and month-on-month or year-on-year comparisons.
Turn on advanced tracking
Most analytics are on by default, but starts and drop-off need advanced tracking. Open the form, go to Analytics and click Enable advanced tracking. It's off by default because you may need to update your privacy policy to explain the extra tracking — do that first.
Do this on every live form now. Depending on traffic it can take a few weeks before the data is useful, so the sooner it's on, the better.
Capture UTM data automatically
In Share, the embed options include an advanced iframe with referrer tracking. Use this code instead of the standard iframe and Zoho Forms captures marketing parameters — UTM source, campaign, term and so on — automatically. That previously needed a web developer to wire up and maintain by hand. Map those values through to CRM and you can see which campaigns and channels your enquiries come from.
Stop bad submissions
- Email and phone verification (OTP): require people to enter a code sent by email or SMS before they can submit. You can edit the message and expiry time, and choose whether to show a captcha first (turning it off reduces friction).
- Domain validation: block free email domains like Gmail if you only want business enquiries. The form asks for a work email instead.
Other newer features
- Spotlight forms guide people through one highlighted field at a time. You can now switch form type after creating a form — for example to a card form, one question per page.
- Section headings to break long forms into manageable parts.
- Large drop-down lists — searchable, with subcategories and up to 1,000 choices. Save them as reusable lists or upload from CSV.
- Image sliders and PDF embeds — useful for onboarding guides or showing full terms and conditions inside the form.
- Zoho Sign field — instead of saving a signature as an image, it produces a signed PDF of the submission using Zoho Sign's digital signatures. Much stronger evidence for onboarding forms and contracts, and it removes a separate signing step.
Connect to Zoho CRM
Go to Integrations → Zoho CRM → Integrate, choose the module (e.g. Leads) and map each form field to a CRM field.
Once analytics has a few weeks of data, review drop-off and test changes to your longest or lowest-converting forms. Watch the June 2026 What's New in Zoho webinar to see it in action.
